What can we do? Call the White House?
i am referring to the massive fraud being done by AIG, with the help of Geithner and Summers:
http://www.dailykos.com/...
"This is the indication being gauged by this diarist given deeper dives into press coverage concerning two bailout-related matters of note swirling around the media over the past 72 hours, namely:
1.) AIG counterparty overpayments during the last 16 weeks of the Bush Administration, which are far more extensive and generous than the already-massive $50 billion being reported over the past 24 hours, and
2.) an effort--apparently well underway--to absurdly contort the FDIC's mission statement, to the point where the feds are going to provide a stealthy cash bonanza (up to $2 trillion in loans and guarantees/backstops), at taxpayer expense, to the grossly underregulated hedge fund industry--which if you read the Prudent Bear, below, looks at this as something of a free-for-all--as well as to some sovereign funds, under the guise of a federal program that had (up until now) absolutely nothing to do with the hedge fund industry, whatsover."
This is easily the scariest thing I have read all year. The idea that the FDIC is even getting involved in the AIG mess is completely horrifying. Doesn't the FDIC insure our money? I mean like the money in our bank accounts?
Geithner's utter refusal to nationalize the banks infuriates me. I don't trust him and I don't trust Summers. What I have found is that sadly the banks is the one area where democrats and republicans overlap, at our expense.
If trillions are stolen from the treasury under Obama's watch (especially if a penny of it comes at the risk of American's bank accounts not being safe) then it is OVER for Obama.
And he would deserve it.
So my question is how do we make enough noise about this to get some action?
I feel like getting rid of Geithner and Summers is our only choice.
Seriously y'all, what do we do?
Hopefully, I am just confused, if I am please let me know.
